I’m Ivette, a Queer-Chicana-Femme-SoCal-Rockabilly housewifing it up in Brooklyn.
I cook, I bake, I craft, I obsessively rearrange furniture and manage to put dinner on the table by 7pm….ish. I’m married to an impossibly cute Cuban with a knack for getting out of dish duty. Together we run a queer fashion company – Marimacho – and produce a global music dance party called Azucar. It’s a sweet gig that feels like a fairytale every day. I pretty much pulled a Cinderella and went from a broke grad student in Downtown Los Angeles to a queer femmeinista in Nueva York in the span of two years.
As much as I love the projects I do with my wife, this blog is about Me and YOU femme/ homemaker/ queen/ fashionista.
